Update - August 20,
2008
The first annual Blues on
the Chippewa music festival was held on August 2, 2008 for the benefit of the
Pepin County
"Bread of Life" food pantry. The concert in Durand's
Memorial Park featured nine great acts and free admission, though
music
lovers were encouraged to bring a donation of food items. The music continued
into the night at several venues
in downtown Durand. An estimated 2500
people attended throughout the day and night, the concert in the park was
a
big hit, the clubs did brisk business, and over 80 cars and
motorcycles were entered in the BOTC car show. Best of all,
the benefit
drive was was a spectacular success. Here's the breakdown:

look
forward to putting on the 2nd annual Blues on the Chippewa festival
as a two-day event next year, August 1 & 2.
